About

Legacy news is a problem. They intentionally skew the news. I really am not sure how they have a licence to operate in this manner. There are no journalists. There are no curious minds hunting down the truth. In stead, they shape a narrative.

In many cases, they know the truth. They could be standing in the pouring rain and tell you it’s all sunny skies–if rain was not in their agenda.

The sad part is that millions of people have lost their objective and critical thinking. They believe every blatantly edited video or false narrative. Legacy news builds gaps. The gaps widen between people of different parties.

The podcasters and individual talking heads are at least openly one-sided. But, listening too much to them and accepting the language and angles they use (though clearly not news) can also shape a world view.

Right is right. Wrong is wrong. The truth is not your friend. It does not console you. It does not care about you. The truth is just the truth. I created this as a small experiment to take popular news from across the US and to scrub the bias inducing words to highlight the acts.

No matter your political or religious beliefs, seek the painful, objective truth. One of my favourite quotes is “There is none so blind as one who refuses to see”. It most likely was Jonathan Swift.

No matter your beliefs and your side. Question the news. Don’t believe the first thing you read or watch. Do not form an opinion based on the first article you read, or the first person you hear talking about it. If it is legacy news, they are very likely skewing it for you.

I hope to remove the language that skews bias in a few news articles.
